Online deals 'offer best prices to boost debt management'
UK homeowners have been advised to use online comparison sites to help get the best deals on their utilities in order to boost their debt management efforts.
Emma Bush, a spokesperson for uSwitch.com, said in many cases, the best deals can only be found online and therefore it is in the consumer's best interest to use these services.
She advised: "Make sure you have your postcode and your usage data available and then you can run a comparison so then its specific to you, with reference to your last year's usage, going forward."
According to npower, the firm plans to cut its gas prices for up to two million customers by an average of seven per cent.
These cuts will come into effect on March 26th and will see Single Fuel Gas customers save £62 annually on average and Dual Fuel Gas customers save up to £54.
